The WHO chief says that rich countries have collected so much corona vaccine that the hands of poor countries are empty. In such a situation, how will the poor countries be able to fight the corona epidemic.
WHO had also previously feared distribution of the corona vaccine. Actually, rich countries have bought more vaccines than they need. Many countries, such as the US, placed orders to companies even before the vaccine was ready. In such a situation, companies are providing vaccine to these countries first. WHO has also put the same truth in front of the world.
WHO chief Tedros Adnom said, “High and high middle-class countries represent 53 percent of the world’s population, but have received 83 percent of the vaccine produced worldwide.” On the other hand, 47 per cent of the people live in low and low-middle income countries, but their share is only 17 per cent of the vaccine. This is a big difference, which is a matter of concern for world health. ‘
At the same time, WHO’s Maria Van Karkhove said that we are classifying the double mutants found in India i.e. B1.617 variant as a cause of concern globally. There is such information, which is known to increase its infectiousness. The close variant of B1.617 was spotted in India in December last year. An earlier variant was seen in October 2020. This variant has spread to many countries till now. Many countries have restricted or restricted movement from India due to the rapidly growing transition.
