Mumbai: There may be controversy over Manoj Bajpayee’s much-awaited web series The Family Man 2, but in the meantime the trailer of the series is setting viewership records. On Wednesday, Manoj shared on social media that the trailer has crossed 50 million or 50 million views.
The trailer of The Family Man 2 was released on May 19 at 9 am. The trailer garnered 40 million views in 4 days of release. Manoj thanked everyone on Twitter for being 50 million. The Family Man is directed by Raj & DK. In the series, Manoj Bajpayee plays the role of Senior Analyst of a spy organization. The Family Man 2 Series will be streamed on June 4.
Let me tell you, in the second season, Samantha Akkineni plays the main villain. With the release of the trailer, social media protests started about Samantha’s character. Hashtags were used to bycott web series on Twitter. Samantha is shown to be a member of a terrorist organization, which is from the Tamil community.
