Bhopal: The vaccination of 18+ population of the country will start in Madhya Pradesh from May 1. Registration for this starts from April 28. On this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan instructed the officers during the review meeting on Tuesday to prepare a plan for vaccination part-3.
In fact, the state government has given the first order of 45 lakh covishields to the Serum Institute for the vaccination campaign starting from May 1 in the state for 3.40 crore people above 18 years of age, but right now from the producer company. It has not been informed when and how much vaccine will be available to MP. Only after this the plan of vaccination will be finalized.
The meeting suggested that vaccination should be in schools rather than government hospitals. The reason is that there will be more congestion in hospitals and the chances of getting infected for vaccination will increase. On this, the Chief Minister said that its plan should be prepared. Earlier, in Bhopal, a target has been set to apply 15 to 20 thousand people every day from May 1.
So far, about 5 lakh 19 thousand people of more than 45 years have been vaccinated in Bhopal. After this, vaccination of about 1 million people is left in this category. Actually, the speed of vaccination has slowed due to the Corona curfew. On Tuesday, 1,319 people got vaccinated in the capital.
Shivraj appealed to the central government
CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has appealed to the Union Health Minister to get permission to use the free vaccine from the center for vaccination for people above 18 years of age. Explain that if 1.29 crore people above 45 years of age are added, then 4 crore 70 lakh people have to be vaccinated. For this, 9 crore 40 lakh doses are needed. So far, only 32% of the population over the age of 45 has received the first dose of vaccine.
