  • Continuing to provide financial assistance to the family of the deceased workers

Bhopal / Mumbai: Strengthened with its front-line personnel, Indian Oil has renewed the ‘Indian Oil Karmayogi Swasthya Yojana’ on 1 May. This health insurance scheme will include more than 3.3 lakh retail outlet customer attendants, LPG delivery boys, tank truck crew and security guards present on pipelines across the country. In spite of this epidemic, all these workers are working ahead in Indian Oil’s efforts to keep the energy supply in the country uninterrupted.

Under medical insurance, workers will continue to get insurance cover for two children including a spouse. The insured person will get a benefit of Rs 1 lakh for the expenses on hospitalization and diseases related to Kovid. On accidental death of the insured, the family will be eligible for compensation of Rs 2 lakh.
The people associated with it have always been at the center of Indian Oil’s operations. In the midst of the epidemic, the Karma Yogi Swasthya Yojana was launched in March 2020 with the objective of providing security to the personnel engaged in meeting the fuel needs of the country.

In FY 2020 -21, medical assistance was provided in about 300 cases of hospitalization and financial compensation was provided in 14 cases.

In addition, IndianOil will continue to provide grace Kovid-19 insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh under which an amount of Rs 5 lakh is given to the kin of the deceased in case of death due to Kovid-19. This insurance scheme includes contract workers working in our premises, for which IndianOil is the main employer. It also includes employees engaged by the company’s business partners including pump attendants, delivery buoys, packaged and bulk drivers, TT Crews, pipelines protectors, loaders – unloaders and other affiliates.
