Farmers’ Protest LIVE Updates: The agriculture minister has invited the protesting farmer groups for talks on Tuesday, two days before the scheduled meeting on December 3.

The Union government cited cold and Covid-19 for the invitation to hold talks immediately. The protests and stalemate at the Delhi-Haryana border have now entered the sixth day with more farmers joining the agitation with their tractors and trolleys.

Even as the government invited the farmers for talks over their demands of abolishing the 3 new farm laws, the agitating farmers have said the Centre must invite all 500 groups of farmers from across the country instead of the 32 they have invited.

We won’t be going for talks till all groups are called,” said Sukhvinder S Sabhran of Punjab Kisan Sangarsh Committee in Delhi.

Meanwhile, both Singhu border and Tikri border have been closed for traffic as the huge gathering of farmers continue to camp on the highway after not being allowed to enter Delhi with their ‘Delhi Chalo’ march against the Centre’s farm laws. Follow live updates on farmers’ protest in Delhi
