New Delhi / Bhopal: In the last 24 hours, 2.76 lakh new cases of Corona have been reported in the country. At the same time, 3.68 lakh people also recovered. In this way, the number of active cases i.e. patients being treated decreased by one lakh 27 thousand 109. In the past, 3,876 people have died.
Corona testing of a record over 32 crore people has been done till Wednesday across the country. At the same time, when talking about vaccination, the first and second doses of 18.7 million vaccines have been given to the people.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths from corona in the country continues to increase. On Tuesday, a record 4,525 people died due to the epidemic. This is the largest number of deaths in one day from Corona. Earlier on Tuesday, there were 4,334 deaths.
Record 20.08 lakh test on Tuesday
To overcome the second wave of Corona in the country, testing-tracing is being emphasized. In view of this, a record 20 lakh 8 thousand 296 corona tests were conducted in the country on Tuesday. This is not only in India, but in the world, the largest number of tests conducted in a single day. Earlier, on May 11, 19 lakh 83 thousand 804 tests were done. The nationwide testing figures have crossed 32 crores.
Less than 5 thousand new cases were found in Delhi for the third consecutive day, the positivity rate also came down to 6%
On Wednesday, 3,846 new cases of Corona were found in Delhi. This is the lowest number of new infections found in a single day after 5 April. The infection was confirmed on this day in 3,548 people. Apart from this, less than 5 thousand new cases have been found in Delhi for the third consecutive day. During this time, 235 patients also succumbed. On May 4, the highest number of deaths was 448.
A good news is also the decrease in the positivity rate. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Delhi Government, the positivity rate has fallen to 5.78%. This is the lowest since April 6. The rate then was 4.9%. Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that the situation in Delhi is improving a lot, but our aim should be to bring the positivity rate up to 2%. The positivity rate was highest at 36.2% on 22 April.
New case tripled reduction in a week
New cases have come down by more than three times in a week in Delhi. However, during this time the tests have also decreased. Only 66,573 tests were conducted on Tuesday. On this day, 4,482 people reported positive. Earlier, there were 4,524 cases on Monday, 6,456 on Sunday, 6,430 on Saturday, 8,506 on Friday, 10,489 on Thursday and 13,287 on Wednesday.

Uttar Pradesh-
On Wednesday, 7,186 people were found infected. 19,669 people recovered and 280 people died. So far, 16.44 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 15.02 lakh have been cured, while 18,352 patients succumbed. 1.23 lakh patients are being treated here.
Delhi-
In Delhi, 3,846 people were found corona positive on Wednesday. 9,427 people recovered and 235 died. So far, 14.06 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 13.39 lakh people have been cured, while 22,346 patients have died. 45,047 are being treated here.
Madhya Pradesh-
In the state on Wednesday, 5,065 people were found to be Corona positive. 10,337 people recovered and 88 died. So far, 7.47 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 6.62 lakh people have been cured, while 7,227 people have died. There are 77,607 patients who are undergoing treatment.
Chhattisgarh-
On Wednesday, 5680 people were found corona infected. 10,048 people recovered and 146 died. So far, 9.31 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 8.33 lakh people have been cured, while 12,182 patients have died. 85,868 patients are undergoing treatment.
