Kolkata: The sixth phase of the Bengal assembly election is going on in the midst of the havoc of the Corona transition. During this time, votes are being cast for 43 assembly seats in four districts of the state. These districts are North 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Uttar Dinajpur, Nadia and East Bardhaman. During this time, about 1.03 crore voters will decide the political fate of 306 candidates. 1,071 companies of central forces are deployed. Voting is going on at a total of 14,480 polling booths. In view of Corona’s increasing infection, health guidelines are being followed at all polling stations.
According to the Election Commission, the voting in the sixth phase of the Bengal assembly elections at 9.30 am till 17.19 percent. Polling was 18.21 in Nadia, 14.87 in North 24 Parganas, 18.92 in East Bardhaman and 18.85 percent in North Dinajpur.
West Bengal: Polling is going on in Raiganj in the sixth phase of the assembly elections. Voting is going on in 43 seats in the sixth phase of the assembly elections today.
